I thought that it might be important to note how to use the dice function since some posts will of course require that dice be rolled. If you haven't noticed, there is a button located in the "add tags" area of the reply box; it looks like a die. Click on it and a dialog box should pop up.
The first number you put in will be how many dice you want to roll. Follow this number with a 'd'. Then the second number is how many sides the die has. For example, if I needed to roll one 20 sided die, I would type in "1d20". If I need 3 six sided dice, I would type in "3d6"
In addition, if you want you can add in the modifiers to your roll as well. For example...say you had to roll a spot check (which is done with a D20). You look on your skill sheet and you have a +6 bonus, awesome! So in the dialog box you'd put in "1d20+6" and it'll total everything for you.
NOTE: We can now see the dice before we post. At the bottom left of the reply window, select the preview tab. Then use the dice icon with the little eye on it. Type in the die parameters as normal, and it'll show you what the die roll will be when you post, so you can role play before posting. (No need to edit posts for this reason, yay!) After you post, it will show what each of the individual dice rolled, and have the total as normal
