Results for Ku: Ku: You note that the screen appears to be capable of sliding up into the ceiling. Behind it appears to be a hatch of some sort, although it isn't open and refuses to budge. The screen itself appears to be entirely flat, having no buttons of any kind and can move / rotate.

After examining the wall, Ku muttered "Some sort of hatch behind the screen, but it won't move..." confused by the hatch, he sat back down at said "Viewscreen, on." hoping that it would turn on.

The view-screen flickered to life. The picture was crystal clear and currently displayed the outside of the ship, presumably the portion "behind" the screen. The familiar blue and yellow lights of hyperspace zip by. The picture is extended beyond the screen, and projected onto the flat wall the screen is secured to. As no beams of light come from other parts of the room, it is assumed the screen itself is producing the projection.
OOC: Hey all, I just put up the "character" sheet for the Citadel Cruiser you're on (SH-33A) If you guys wanted to name it...feel free to discuss and come to a group bases decision. In any case, you can find it where all the character sheets are located. Let me know if you can't read something (My handwriting is terrible XD)

"That is a rather clear picture, but obviously not a window. I would feel safer having this on to be able to see what is happening outside of the ship, do you particularly care Dennurek?" Ku asked while moving back to a seat to rest while they waited for the ship to decelerate.

Post by Dax on Mar 21, 2014 15:11:00 GMT -7
Dax muttered a polite goodbye at the retreating Twi'lek. Training huh? Does that really count as fun? Dax scoffed aloud. As if Jedi even are allowed to do that. She smiled as a thought came to her. Well if they're lives are as dreadful boring as I fear they might be then I shall just have to do my very best to liven them up before we part ways. After all everyone should be able to have some fun. Besides what was the point of being stuck on a mission with the same people for days on end if you didn't use the time to make each other's lives a bit less lonely?
Dax looked back down the hall at where the girl had been. She definitely thinks I am a liar though. Whatever, if she honestly expected the whole truth from a complete stranger she definitely has more to learn of the galaxy.
Dax then decided she had to take this opportunity to learn more of the other two of the party, and made to leave the cabin. She stopped before completely getting up.
"But, we never did set that passcode...." She then set about doing just that.

The computer responded to Dax's quick keystrokes, allowing her to input the code of her choice. As she flipped through various system screens, she learned that the ship seemed to have a few redundant systems, but no way to manage them. They gave the appearance of complete control, but who knows what would happen if they were activated or how exactly they're triggered. While diving deeper to try to investigate the subsystems, Dax also learned about the turret seating. Two separate panels from the main seating area would open when the ship engaged in battle allowing individual control of the ion cannons.
A short high pitched alarm blared throughout the ship, and the green timer turned red, flashing 0:00. The alarm chirped two more times before a soothing female voice was heard, 'Approaching Balmora,' she said twice. The familiar pull of real-space tugged at everyone aboard, and the blue and yellow lights slowed from lines to pinpoints, and then disappeared into the black background.
The lights in the cabin dimmed to a dull yellow, and out of the floor in the center of the seating area rose a pedestal. Dennurek and Ku heard a faint hum as it warmed up before an image flickered into being. A holographic representation of Balmora appeared before zooming in on the mining facility in question. It appeared to be intact, boasting a large domed area leading toward the rest of the building and away from the landing pad. A red line extended from the landing pad into the "space" above it and a tactical information box appeared with a click. 'Structural damage detected, landing pad unstable. Proceed with caution' the label read.
The view from the cockpit showed the planet looming in the distance. The trajectory Ku had programmed put them closer to the planet than most jumps allow, which if miscalculated could spell disaster if the planet was too close. Luckily, the placement seemed perfect, and, if luck holds, meant they woudln't be detected by Sith patrols regardless of the fact that the Director said the path would be clear. The coordinates of the facility appeared on the nav display, and asked if Dax wanted to initiate autopilot.
OOC: Dax, assuming you don't want autopilot, make a DC for piloting the ship to the coordinates. Then, make a second DC for landing please.

Ah, what a quick journey, Ku thought as he felt the familiar pull out of hyperspace. He was a little surprised at the pedestal that came up in the center of the room, but was impressed with the tactical readout of their landing zone.
"Have to say I impressed myself a little with the astrogate coordination" Ku said to Dennurek, "Ah damn, the landing platform is unsafe though. Wonder what Dax wants to do about that, might have to make a quick escape. Wonder if the ship will be able to stay warmed up..."
Ku stood up, and checked to make sure he had everything he thought he would need for the mission, Would be very sad to not have my lightsaber...but when would a Jedi ever leave that behind? Let's hope I don't need to use it much, the party seems to have talented people, but don't really know if I can trust them still...Have more trust in Alyaza knowing she is a Jedi but lets hope she can handle herself.
"And now to see if this outpost contains any Sith, which I severely hope not. I should make sure that Alyaza heard the alert." Ku waited a moment for Denneruk to reply and then walked down the hall to the living quarter doors, and knocked on them. "Alyaza, you ready to begin this crazy adventure?"

" FoxxyBantha69XOXO " Dax had no sooner hit the final key on her totally awesome password before the countdown showing their arrival time hit zero. She took in all the necessary information on the view screen and examined her options for landing. "Who would use the auto-pilot when the landing pad is damaged? Why is that even an option?" She asked the empty cockpit, she didn't expect an answer but sometimes she couldn't stand the silence. Although now that the thought had occurred to her, Dax realized that the ship needed a name, maybe then talking to it wouldn't feel so lonely...or loosely insane.

As Dax pulled the ship from hyperspace she contemplated names for her ship....er the ship, it wasn't her's. Maybe the Director would be willing to negotiate it as part of my payment....he can even keep the pelts. Dax then made to land. Hoping for a steady and silent entrance.

The knock on the door woke Alyaza up. Damn I guess I feel asleep, that flight was so smooth. I guess it's time to get down to business then. She stood up and walked to the door and saw Ku and Dennurek waiting outside in the hall. "I guess I am as ready as I will ever be. I sincerely hope that we don't run into to much trouble. It's always a bit tricky dealing with the Sith." Alyaza checked her bag to make sure that her pistol and magazines where in there and she readjusted her lightsaber holster to make sure it was secure. Well in the event of a fight Ku has his lightsaber and the force, but what will Dax and Dennurek provide? If it comes down to multiple enemies two Jedi might not be enough...

Dennurek did not particularly care if the view screen was on or off but it was nice to see outside, even for the very few hours they were on the ship. "It is nice to see outside, but I have no preference."
When the alarm sounded and the pedestal rose in front of Dennurek and Ku Tan, Dennurek felt excited finally for the mission. Still unsure of what he would bring to the party, but still ready and willing for whatever he might be called upon to do. "You achieved quite the astragate coordination sir, and hopefully it has given us an advantage for us all. I am sure Dax will lead us in whatever her decision may be."
As he and Ku Tan waited, now joined by Alyaza he nodded to both of them, after checking his person for all his belongings, ready to depart to the next area.

Dax pointed the nose toward the planet and engaged the engines. A subtle acceleration accompanied by the hum of the engines reminded all aboard of what lies ahead. Balmora soon filled the viewscreens, and the ship angled toward the northern continent. Moments later, the mining facility came into view. The area around the building is devoid of life, giving the entire area a gray feel. Dax expertly took the ship around the facility for an areal view before slowing to a hover over the landing pad.
The building had seen better days, but considering it had been through a Sith bombardment, it was in decent shape. The walls still appeared strong enough to keep out all but the most intrepid of explorers, but the dome that had been shown on the tactical screen had large holes where the glass had shattered. The entire building appeared to be mottled gray with blackened singe marks sporadically scattered. The cruiser's wings folded as Dax switched fully over to the repulsor engines and gently lowered the ship down. From the viewscreens and the cockpit, it was evident the landing pad had taken a beating. Durasteel girders and chunks of concrete jutted upward at awkward angles, twisted and mangled. Dax had managed to find the only firm footing in the entire area, and could be assured the ship was safe so far as the structure went.
OOC: Alright guys! This thread is now locked. We will continue our adventure in Mission one: The Facility. Please be sure to read the OOC comment in my first post in that thread before continuing. Again, if you haven't read my post on combat posting please do; it'll help a lot. I understand if you didn't get around to reading the book. I'll try to help as we go along, and while I'll let you make your own mistakes, I'll try to point out certain things you may have been able to do as you go along (in case you haven't read about all your options). Good luck!
