A long time ago In a galaxy far, far away...
Echoes of Silence The approximate galactic date is 3997 BBY. There is much turmoil in the galaxy as the Sith grow in force. They continue to expand into Republic space, constantly pitting Sith against Jedi and Republic forces against Sith forces. In recent years, their conquests seem to have renewed vigor and in some cases the never-ending conflict has begun to sway in favor of Sith rule. Times are uneasy; commerce, expansion, and exploration have slowed as more and more resources are devoted to maintaining the Republic’s integrity. Shipping lanes have become increasingly more dangerous, and the Republic is forced to institute continual legislation changes to protect the galaxy. The Jedi, as always, seem slow to act and appear unworried by galaxy-wide developments. The order has begun to lose more and more youth to the Sith due to generalized disillusionment and unrest. Thus is the state of the galaxy.

Each of you have been summoned separately to Velusia, an oceanic world with limited humanoid populations. The party who has requested your presence is rumored to cater to the rich, presenting luxurious reclusive resorts and dealing in only the most rare and exquisite goods. They seem to know enough about you to suggest more than a casual interest, and have requested your presence to help with a special project requiring your particular expertise. While at first each of you may have been wary, the rewards for completing a contract with them would have to be great, and in addition the three-day all paid stay in one of the most exclusive locals is a hard offer to pass up.
The trip to Velusia was uneventful. The ship that carried you was an unassuming cargo freighter. Once inside, however, the accommodations were more than suitable. Ample seating was offered in the main cabin with varied pelts strewn across the couches and chairs. The trip was short, only a few hours in hyperspace, which lent to the sophisticated hype drive engine housed onboard. Your every need was catered to by your own personal attendant.
Feeling the pull of normal space, your gaze was drawn to the window nearest you. The stars slowed from lines of brilliant blue light until space seemed to stand still once more. A slight shudder ran through the ship as the impulse engines once again fired up, and Velusia first came into view. The light blue planet grew closer and closer until the ship broke atmosphere and smoothly made its way to the surface. The ocean glistened beneath you as the ship rocketed through the pristine white clouds, seemingly endless in its vast entirety. Glints of light reflected off the surface of the water and colored fish of vibrant colors jumped and swam just below the waves. In the distance, the horizon seemed to shimmer suddenly and then fall apart. A dome-like projection briefly appeared before it disappeared revealing a monstrous island that had been hidden only moments before. It was circular in nature with large towers jutting into the sky. At second glance you notice that the island seemed to be moving at a slow, but steady pace, the fish and sea-life jumping in its wake. The pilot announced the final decent and minutes later you were ushered onto a docking deck.
Salty, fresh air assaulted your senses, and the light coming off the sea threatened to blind you. You were greeted by a conglomerate of varied races, all drawing you further into the island, and showed you to your accommodations. You were instructed to indulge in all that you desired, and reminded to be in attendance on deck four, two days from now which would be restricted until then.
At the appropriate time you find yourself on deck four, probably the most luxurious part of the entire island. The room is large and circular with ceilings at least three stories high. The ceiling is a rich peach color and many abstract sculptures hang from above, some simple and other extravagant. Your gaze is drawn to the center of the area to a vast crystal structure hanging above the refined bar. The crystal changes it shape moment by moment emulating waves and capturing the beauty of the deep blues and turquoises of the ocean.
Taking in a quick view of the vast area, it seems to be split into wedges with all parts meeting at the center with a bar tended by a dozen individuals. Looking around the circle, pazaak is being played amongst other gambling options. An area dedicated to the art of discussion is pocked with private and snug seating arrangements focused around a series of fire pits. The beings there regard you with a cool indifference, clearly accustomed to only the most elite of individuals.
At the far end the entire wall from floor to ceiling appears to be made of some form of glass, overlooking the sea. Beyond is a patio area with several pools of pristine water, and people lounging about soaking in the sun. They seem to walk in and out of the deck without any sign of a door, and the sweet, salty breeze from outside wafts gently past you.
Finally, a more secluded area in the back features a variety of exotic dancers moving about on several platforms. A show seems to be taking place, featuring a lithe red Twilek clothed only in small undergarments of deep purple.
All throughout the room an innumerous amount of art is displayed. Perhaps the most prominent are smaller versions of the moving crystals each taking on different shapes and aspects of the various locals of the planet from volcanoes to oceans to the sunset itself. Holoart is tastefully placed and even allows for a series of different displays seemingly dependent on the nearest patrons. Many stationary sculptures and even basic paintings fill in the rest of the empty space creating a relaxed and comfortable ambiance.
The slight murmur of the occupants fills your ears. An occasional joyous outburst of laughter or excitement covers the constant sound of waves. You were told to enjoy yourself until “The Director” was ready to see you.
OOC: Welcome everyone to the campaign! At this point feel free to describe the trip to Velusia in your own eyes and how you occupied your free time until now if you so wish. Otherwise, please describe where your character is currently and what he/ she is doing. Feel free to continue posting without waiting for me to post. I will interject when needed to resolve dice rolls, clarify things, or to aid in your interaction with the environment / NPC's. I will post approximately every four posts (unless otherwise needed). This will continue until you're summoned by "The Director"

This ship looks like a piece of junk, thought Ku Tan as he approached the ship in its dock, I am no piece of cargo, but it shall have to do. The inside of the ship was quite surprising, if not of tastes much more refined than his own. Fur pelts are a bit tacky, but it beats a Jedi starfighter. The trip passed with minimal events and Ku ate minimally, only enough to satiate himself.
Getting off the ship, Ku smelled the air. I have not been near an ocean in years, too much moisture. After he was directed to his accommodations, he thought Two days before the meeting? What a waste of time. He passed the days meditating and doing some small exercising to keep vigilant.
Into deck four: Walking into the room, Ku Tan's eyes are drawn to the flowing crystals. That is a very unique crystal, I will have to examine it. He walks to the bar in the center while watching around the room at the apparent elite of the planet. He ordered some hoi-broth and a drink to try to not look conspicuous, though his cloak showed that he was an offworlder. He tried to make chit-chat with the others around the bar, but was to shy and didn't know any of the local current events so he wandered to the edge of the room where there lots of art and an encasing of a shard of the crystal that he wished to examine.
These other sculptures are decent, but there are other ways of doing better, but this crystal... Knowledge(crystal) 31HefSEj1d20+4 to see if he can discover anything about the crystal...1d20+4

This ship looks befitting of a short trip to Velusia. At least I will not be distracted by any unnecessary frivolities. I can meditate for those few hours. Alyaza contemplated these things as the others began to approach the vessel as well. They were an interesting looking group and she studied each of them carefully. She picked up her pack, filled with only the things necessary to survive, and boarded the ship. The luxurious decorations and amenities on the inside made her jaw drop in disbelief. She quickly hide her reaction before anyone else noticed. I do not like this. Why would they provide such a nice ship for a rag tag group such as ourselves? There is something about this that I do not trust. Thoughts like this plagued her the whole trip. Upon arriving in Velusia a quiet sense of uneasiness settled on her. There was to much water on this planet which left very few places to hide if things turned sour. Also she became painfully aware of her lack of swimming abilities. She would have to make sure not to get to close to the water if she could help it. During the two days that they had for free time she quietly mapped out the island. This put her more at ease and comfortable in this new location. When she arrived at Deck Four the sense of uneasiness returned. She was not sure if it was because she was not used to such opulence, or if there was something more. A man approaches her carrying a drink. "You look like you could use some company, why so tense?" Sometimes I hate this Twi'lek body. Always having to deal with guys like this. My fellow Twi'lek dancing over there doesn't help either, Alyaza thought to herself as she politely smiled and accepted the strange looking purple drink. Might as well chat it up with this guy and see if I can learn anything from him and what his motive for approaching me is.

OOC: Alright guys, until we once again are able to utilize the whisper function, I will be using the spoiler function. If there is any point in time where there is a particular bit of information that only your character should be privy to, I'll add a spoiler. It should display in Blue and will be labeled with your character's name. This means you guys are on the honor system! This is to attempt to keep each of your character's knowledge separate from each other. That way, you can decide to tell the party or keep the info to yourself!
{Spoiler: Ku Tan}Looking at the crystal, you soon realize its not crystal at all. Whatever is allowing the object to appear as it does escapes you. However, you do get the distinct sense that it seems to change ever so slightly based on your emotions and thoughts {Spoiler: Alyaza}You note nothing of importance beyond the norm. At the very least he doesn't seem to wish you any harm
Most of the people at the bar regard Ku Tan with indifference. They make minor effort and produce faked smiles at his attempts to foster communication. A few even went so far as to turn to the others they were with and offer an exasperated sigh. Clearly they viewed him as beneath him, the unadorned cloak alone highlighted his lack of high birth. However, as Ku Tan examines the moving crystal attempting to mimic one of Velusia's fantastic storms, a human causally approaches him. "Beauties aren't they?" he asks with a sense of pride. The man who approached Alyaza was attractive enough, but oozed with desire. He leaned against the bar casually, trying to appear confident and aloof. His eyes kept darting past Alyaza to the dancing Twileks behind her. " I can tell you're new here," he offered with a dashing smile. " I could help ease some of that tension. I'm sure I could even convince another of your friends to join us as well if you'd prefer." He added while tilting his head toward the dancers behind her. Taking advantage of the brief moment Alyaza looked away, he moved his hand closer and gently caressed the back of her hand with his finger, hoping that the Twilek before him belonged to employ of the island as well. She seemed to have a little something more - something dangerous - than the other "workers", and he liked himself a little danger.

Velusia, at least it's a planet that I haven't been to yet. Dennurek was very pleased with himself on his private list of planets that he had visited for travel and other expeditions, but kept that to himself. He had been on quite a long travel since he had left his home planet as a youth, and didn't think any different when he was requested for his expertise on Velusia. He could even make a little holiday of it.
He boarded the cargo freighter and was thoroughly pleased with the accommodations and the availability of the personal attendant. Dennurek relaxed and requested from the ship's menu the freshest insect tray they had. The blue world below might not have any insects, and that was what he was craving most.
After departing the freighter to deck four with his pack in tow, goggles firmly placed on Dennurek's face, he breathed in deeply as he entered the grand circular room. An interesting place for a meeting, but very well in taste, he thought to himself as he gazed instantly on the surrounding crystal and holoart that paled in comparison to it's large structure. Art was his calling, and so he started on the nearest side he was on and started to work clockwise viewing the art and admiring the craftsmanship in each piece. He was going to enjoy himself until "The Director" came to him in due time.

Who does this low life think he is?! Alyaza tried to control the bubbling anger and rage that was building up inside her. From what she could tell the man had no ulterior motives. She wished that he did so she could wipe the disgusting look of his face. She was aware of some wary glances from other party goers around her and also of the fact that she was here as a guest on a mission.
She pulled her hand away. "I am sorry, I will have to decline your wonderful offer. Will you excuse me?", she said with a hint of disgust slipping through her polite smile.
The man frowned but did not protest. Alyaza turned and walked across the room heading for a more isolated and hidden location to survey the room uninterrupted.

The man excitedly started to dive into an explanation of the moving sculptures when the one before them started to vibrate at the edges. He looked a bit hurt as he turned back to Ku Tan, " I see. You could've just told me you weren't interested." With a swish of his cape, he walked towards another new person that he noticed. Perhaps he'll be more willing to participate in polite conversation.
He made his way over to an interesting looking fellow who hardly noticed him approach due to his enthusiasm for the artwork. "Its a fine afternoon, is it not?" he asked, leaning in toward Dennurek. "I can see you're a man of great tastes," He added, attempting to make conversation. He stood close to Dennurek, but not close enough to overly offend personal space. He was clearly human, his half cloak swayed behind him, gold on one side, and black on the other. Dressed in formal attire, a dark shirt with crimson accents was meticulously ironed (or made of a non-wrinkle material) and tucked into his tight fitting black pants. Smiling,he gave off an air of superiority, but genuine interest. He was clearly a man of fine tastes, but perhaps on the side of exuberance. Striking blue eyes, partly covered by wavy brown hair moved quickly from place to place in the room, but always landed back on Dennurek - patiently awaiting a response.
Disappointed, the person talking with Alyaza watched her leave. Was it something I said? he wondered. Perhaps she's just off duty, I'll have to inquire later. Taking a mental picture of her enticing physique, he wandered off to the Twileks in the back. He always had a standing appointment with them. Smiling to himself, he watched the red Twilek as she continued to perform, his ill-hidden desire dripping from his person.
The sunlight finally shifted from overhead, and started to enter the windows overlooking the ocean. Almost instantly, in response, the glass-like wall adjusted its density to let in less light, keeping the room comfortable for all patrons. A series of servers pushing carts appeared from the side of the room. It was hard to tell where they came from as it appeared to have been a solid wall. They began serving the people who were seated near the fire pits. Steaming dishes and elaborate drinks were passed out to people who hardly took notice of the wait staff, continuing their clearly more important or interesting business.

I wasn't trying to be that mean...Ku sighed. Ku watched the food starting being served out, That seems extravagant, the people even hardly notice the servers, that's just not polite. I guess I will try to eat something.Ku walked up to one of the trays and asked politely for a plate of whatever seemed somewhat good, and while he was waiting noticed another Twi'lek in the corner that seemed to exude Jedi...wonder why she is here too. Ku walked over to her and nodded at her while flashing his cloak to show her his lightsaber. "What brings a guardian out here?" he asked her. Hey Hayley, if it's not clear, I'm trying to talk to you

Dennurek slightly adjusted his goggles before turning to the man at his side, taking in his clean appearance and the neatness of his clothes. I admire this man's style, though it seems a bit exuberant for this forum we are all gathered in. I'm not complaining though, I like a man with good tastes as well. Turning to the man while still turned to the chosen holoart he had become fascinated with, he replied courteously, "It is a wonderful day, and also are these pieces of art. These pieces always fascinate me with the simplicity yet expert handling they are given. Are you a man of art?"
Dennurek politely waved to a passing server as drinks and food were given out, offering as well to the man he was in conversation with. He glanced the servers beginning to disperse around the room and decided to take that time as the man was next to him in conversation to see who all was in the room, besides the artwork and crystal.

The question came from one of the others that she had noticed on the ship. When he approached her he flashed a lightsaber that he had concealed under his cloak. Ku Tan, I believe thats his name. So this one is also a Jedi? I wonder why they would require two of us at this party. I have to admit though it makes me feel more at ease with another Jedi here. And I sense that he has strong force within him. It would be in my interest to keep this one close. "I was summoned here, just like I suspect you were as well. This whole ordeal seems a bit unnecessary to me. I have been trying to read this crowd but I have been having difficulty. I hope you don't mind my asking, but do you feel comfortable here?" The Jedi observed her with curious eyes. Alyaza had never been this close to a Blood Carver. He looks as though he has seen battle in his time, she thought to herself as she observed the scar on his head.

Dax was fairly certain she was supposed to arrive on deck four a little earlier than now. If whoever wants to hire me went to all that effort to research me, I doubt they would let a bit of tardiness on my part halt their plans. However she sort of wished she had shown up earlier all the same, she noted as she took in the fresh air and fine decor of the room. Dax was glad to be treated with such pleasantries. Despite the fact that the cargo ship she arrived on was nicer than her usual travel arrangements of 'stowaway on creaky rig' and 'guest of semi-decent smugglers' she had never grown used to long-term space travel. She doubted at this point she ever would.
Upon entering the hall Dax made her way straight to the bar, her graceful walk drew as many eyes as it usually did. She was glad of her foresight to hide her lightsaber beneath her clothes. She doubted any of those in charge of bringing back Jedi runaways would be in such a place, that doesn't mean she intended to bring anymore attention to herself than necessary.
When she reached the bar Dax had little trouble getting the bartender's attention. "Something sweet," she ordered with a smile. "but not too strong." After confirming her order was heard, she turned to survey the room. Counting the exits and looking for people that were more interesting than the usual noble fodder.

Dennurek: The first thing you note is a handful of guards dispersed throughout the room. At first glance they seem as if they're visitors, but upon closer inspection, their focused gaze and constant attention give them away as something more. Across the room from you, you notice two individuals, and insectoid and a Twilek both wearing robes. Your gaze is also drawn to a new person walking in the entrance, a sultry individual who is drawing more than just your attention. The well dressed man's face lit up a bit, " Finally a fellow connoisseur!" He said to Dannurek. You have no idea how droll many of the people are. I was commissioned to furnish this entire place, and yet it seems as if most people don't even notice anything past their first day here. Some of these works are my own creations," he added, beaming. He nodded his head in thanks and took a drink from the server who had hurried over. Dax: Looking quickly around the room, you note the way you came in and the obvious exit across the room, through the glass wall. Further, you note a few individuals who stand out. Two of them, an insectoid species and a Twilek seem to be speaking to each other, and the other an odd creature in a dark cloak with a nasally voice is animatedly interacting with a flamboyant human. While you can't quite put your finger on it, something else out of place tugs at the back of your mind. While it may have taken a moment to get the bartender's attention, it sure wouldn't in the future. Dax's presence itself seemed intoxicating let alone the draw of her natural beauty. Hurrying to make her drink, he spilled on himself, chuckling nervously. Hoping she hadn't noticed he quickly wiped himself off and remade it. "There you are, Miss? he asked, ending with a slight raise in his inflection hoping to learn her name. Alyaza and Ku: You may continue to post as frequently as you'd like. I'll post if needed and will move the story line forward shortly

"No, it is too lavish and I do not like being around these people. May I ask what is your name?" Ku asked the Twi'lek, noting the wrappings on her arms and determination in her eyes. "I'm sure you learned it too, but too much greed does not do well for the spirit. It has been a couple of years since I have actually talked to a Jedi who was not my old master...it is different."
She definitely looks tuned to battle, a worthy Jedi. I wonder how she passed her trials...I hope it is not too long until the Director gets calls me in, I am glad there is a jedi also here but I still may be on my own.

Around the room Dennurek saw multiple people throughout and a handful of guards. Many of the visiting people though seemed a little more than just passing travelers. I'll keep that in the back of my head, I don't want to be caught unaware. Further across from Dennurek though were two individuals: a Twilek and an insectoid. Dennurek instinctively licked his lips, swallowed, and temporarily lapsed from his conversation. It's been a few years since I've seen an insectoid being, but at least it isn't my first. Dennurek took a quick bite out of his food that he was served to distract himself from imagining the delicious crunch of an insect. This insectoid was just like anyone else he could meet in the galaxy - he just ate smaller versions of him.
Dennurek smiled politely in response, glad to have made a temporary acquaintance on this watery planet - however beautiful it was through the glass and surrounded by the varied artwork. "Tell me about your pieces, good sir," Dennurek responded back. "I am Dennurek, a humble Kubaz, and you are?"

My name is Alazarin. I was once the art consultant for the royalty of Alderaan, He mentioned almost casually, extending his hand in greeting. My greatest accomplishments are the moving crystals you see about the room. Aren't they magnificent? Truly they capture the constant changing beauty of this world. Oh how I wish I could tell you more, but sadly I've been sworn to secrecy. His eyes gleamed with excitement, almost daring him to ask more.

She decided that she liked this Blood Carver Jedi for now. He might be worth trusting. She regraded him with less critical eyes thinking that perhaps he was not so different from her. "My name is Alyaza. I recently became a guardian and this whole mission thing is new to me. I wonder how much longer this Director will keep us waiting." I could be training in all this wasted time. I can't forget who I am.

Dennurek shook Alazarin's hand and smiled. "These crystals are magnificent, and I bet a deal of time went into them - by yourself?" Unless he is a master at his craft, there should always be others to help. Maybe that is what he won't tell me. Dennurek persisted nonetheless, "What can you tell me about these crystals then? For someone who once was a royal art consultant, this seems to be a bit different from your norm."

"Nice to meet you Alyaza. I hope it is not much longer, such high society snobs don't even usually like jedi. I am used to being shunned by such, which is why I have been taking random missions in the Outer Rim, to help but not be seen. I just don't like even talking to them." He replied. Why are we even here? The Director better be here soon. He walked closer to the wall that was behind them, Those servers came out of a door that looked incredibly like a wall, wonder if this wall has anything of the same.

Ku: As you study the wall, something tugs at the back of your mind. The wall seems familiar like something else you've seen. It takes a moment, but you have a feeling that it is somehow connected to the other crystals in the room. Upon closer inspection, the wall almost seems as if its in constant flux, moving and vibrating every so slightly. Alazarin, smiled again showing his bright whites. I did indeed do most the work on my own. You're right, for the most part I procured beautiful pieces of art from around the galaxy, but after a time I was informed my services were no longer required. Its what happens when regimes rise and fall I suppose. Sighing, he looked left and right briefly. Then, leaning in closer and in a hushed tone, I actually stumbled upon something in my travels that allowed me to create these unique masterpieces. I'm not even quite sure how it works, but I found it on an outer rim planet. There are just pools of this....stuff. And, once harvested, somehow it just responds its almost as if its al...... He seemed as if he wanted to say more, but was cut off as a white figure appeared at their side, his eyes widening almost in surprise Dannurek couldn't tell when the person had arrived or how long she'd been standing there. She was dressed in a long robe that touched the ground, sleeves to her wrists. She appeared human, but had a pronounced brow ridge and her mouth appeared to be out of proportion to the rest of her face, perhaps a bit too small. A golden sash accented her waist, and long faded brown hair fell most of the way down her back. She reached out and touched Dannurek on the arm to get his attention. The touch, while only on the outside of his cloak felt extremely cold, seemingly absorbing the heat from his arm. Her mouth hardly moved, but Dannurek heard what she had to say loud and clear, He'll see you now, if you'll follow me. Without waiting for any sort of response, she turned on her heel and walked directly to the center of the room. A similar being approaches everyone else in the room. One being per member, each appearing almost out of nowhere. A short male with blonde, closely cropped hair appeared by Dax, touching her on the arm. He'll see you now, if you'll follow me. As he moved away, directly toward the other being that had left Dennurek, Dax's flesh reacted to the sudden cold raising tiny goose-pimples Both Alyaza and Ku wouldn't be able to tell which person had appeared first or even when and where they'd come from, but a shorter female with faded blonde hair and a taller male with closely cropped brown hair appeared by their sides. Simultaneously, the female touched Ku and the male touched Alyaza, He'll see you now, if you'll follow me.The same cold sensation permeated their arms. The beings turned tightly on their heels, and moved to the center of the room to join their "friends". Moving as a unit, and without waiting to see if Alyaza, Ku, Dannurek, or Dax had started to follow them, they moved in unison past the pazzak tables and directly through the solid, white wall.

"The wall is like the crystals...perhaps if I..." He tried to change how he was feeling, trying to summon determination to see if the wall changed with the change in his emotion. The wall looked like it was about to do something when...A cold hand touched his arm, he flinched and she said "He'll see you now, if you'll follow me."
He watched her go across the room, and then through the wall. That, is unique, he thought, and with a glance at Alyaza started walking over to the wall and attempted to put his hand through.

Cold....? Dax shook the chill off quickly before downing the rest of her drink. She placed a decent tip on the table with a charming smile before following the man without hesitation. While she walked she kept a careful eye on the others the strange servants had spoken to.

Goose bumps prickled her arms where the man touched her. It's as if he is made of ice. Alyaza watched Ku follow these strange beings, and she reluctantly left her nice dark corner and rejoined the rest of the party. It seemed like things were about to begin....

Dennurek's arms were raised with goosebumps from the touch woman's hand. He had not seen her until that moment she touched his arm, but knew this was the encounter to continue his directions towards finding "The Director." And she had said it was a he. If it was a he still by the time he met them.
Dennurek glanced at Alazarin, seeming to ask if he was coming along, but followed the woman to the center and through the wall - with or without him.

The wall appears completely solid, but offers no resistance as you pass through. A slight tingle permeates your being, causing those of you with hair on your arms to stand on end. For only seconds a white light fills your vision before a room opens before you.
Yet another circular room opens before you. Around the edges are various screens, all dark, and a singular person looking at something across the room. A slight decline leads to the center where a circular seating area is seen. The white seats are positioned around a fire pit. At least that's what the structure looks like. Instead of fire, a liquid form of the crystals from the other room move up and down their colors changing subtly from one to the next, glimmering. Nearly all the colors from the visual spectrum are accounted for at one time or another. This structure rose to the high domed roof which featured glass, and would normally allow light through. Currently, the glass was a solid black and demonstrated a twinkling meant to emulate stars.
The messengers that brought everyone to this room marched directly up to the man. With a flick of his hand they nodded in unison and in that same moment disappeared with a flicker. He slowly turned around and motioned for everyone to take a seat. With graceful steps, the six-foot something Adarian moved toward the center of the room and stood, waiting for you to settle. His skin is a blue-gray which is accented nicely by his simple, fitted robes of emerald. His eyes appear to be black at first glance, absorbing the light of the room, but at second glance are a deep maroon. The most distinguishing characteristic, however, is his elongated skull featuring a hole straight through the top of it.
"I'm pleased each of you could make it," his voice rumbled deep and low. It has a gravelly sound to it but hypnotic none the less. "I trust each of you has noted one another, and have enjoyed the more than adequate accommodations?" He asked, seemingly wanting an answer, but then carried on with only a brief pause. "I apologize for the lack of information, but i'm afraid I have a situation of utmost sensitivity and, as you must have already noticed, we like to keep our operations quiet. I do promise you'll each be very generously compensated." With a quick glance to the Jedi in the room, he added, "In more ways than one, I assure you. I realize not all here are motivated by copious amounts of credits" A smile broke across his face, awkward yet assuredly considered dashing for his species. The bony ridges that formed his "lips" spread enough to show off a row of meticulously kept teeth. The man easily commanded the attention of the room and appeared at ease being the center of attention and in control.
"But forgive me, I've forgotten to introduce myself. I am the Director of operations. Now, before I begin, are there any hidden doubts I can lay to rest, or questions I may answer?" He held his arms outward toward you encouraging everyone to speak.

"The obvious question, why are we here? Don't know about these other two, but Alyaza and I seem really out of place in such accommodations. Are you sure you actually need all of us for whatever it is you are planning for us?"
I don't like being kept in the dark in situations like this, too much bad has already happened as such.

Dennurek walked forward, adjusting his goggles and licking his lips. Ah, a Jedi insectoid, this will not go well if I cannot keep myself in check. Or him. "I am Dennurek, a Kubaz. Director, if that is what you would prefer to be addressed as, it is my pleasure to meet you and the rest of our party." Dennurek looked at each member of the room to show no hesitancy to anyone of who he was. "I do not have any questions for now, but I am here to serve as I have been called - of course with the right compensation."

The Director looked just like she had expected him to. Soft and like someone who had spent their life with more then they need. She stayed where she was standing and let the others in the party talk. I don't want to draw so much attention to myself right away. If I am addressed directly I will speak up.

He is sincere in his desire and need of your services. The Director's unusual smile crept back on his face for a moment at the impetuous Bloodcarver's comment. He nodded politely in response to the Kubaz, and addressed everyone in turn with a look that said, 'I know what you're thinking and I know I'll get what I need from you'. His gaze is at once pleasant and strongly intense. " Ah, Dennurek polite as ever. And I assure you, Ku Tan I have need of all of your...diverse...talents." Pausing for a moment, he seemed to be thinking. " It seems to me that it is most prudent to continue with why you're here then." He added, making a pointed look at Ku Tan. Casually gesturing to the floating colors in the center of the room he began, " I represent the NMC, or the Nexcore Mining Corporation, among other things." The lights shifted and solidified, presenting a logo. A red circle was disconnected at the bottom, and a large maroon N extended from the circle's breaks into the center of the circle. This was laid on top of a durasteel plate square of grey-blue steel. The logo rotated, suspended within the "fire pit" which was now clearly doubling as a projection system. " While I, and the company, wish to work with you, we must be sure of your loyalty. I know its been mentioned, and is obvious, but we do pride our autonomy and secrecy, and must be certain of your motivations. We do reward loyalty with loyalty and more," he added smiling again. " While it may be considered a breach of privacy, I'm sure you can understand that we've been monitoring your actions for some time. We do not make an investment this large lightly, and many do not even get offered the opportunity to operate as semi-autonomous agents. That being said, we must truly know what you're capable of before we can progress any further." With another wave of his hand, the screen shifted and showed them an image of a rocky looking planet with sporadic areas of green vegetation and a moderately sized northern ocean. It then quickly zoomed in to a darkened facility in disrepair. A broken landing area led to a large domed glass enclosure which then led to other parts of the building. " This is Balmorra. We recently lost one of our robotics facilities to the continued Sith bombardment of the galactic region. Fortunately we were able to evacuate almost all of the personnel before the main raiding party landed, but we lost valuable data. While the building itself is beyond the scope of usability, we have reason to believe that our primary data core may still be viable. The computer vault raises protective shielding in disaster situations and we believe the Sith were unable to penetrate it. The facility appears to be silent and we've seen no Sith activity in the region for weeks. But, to account for all eventualities, we hand picked this team." He finished, gesturing to the beings before him. Continuing, " In short, we simply need you to recover the data core which will be found in the sub-levels. As our operations often work in isolated conditions, we unfortunately cannot offer any more Intel as to the interior of the structure." Acting as if he sensed the general mood of the room, he continued, " We will of course be supplying you with transportation. I can personally assure you it will more than meet your needs. While not the best equipped for direct conflict, it is fast and quite comfortable. I trust a modified Citadel Cruiser will be to your liking?" he asked, gesturing once more to the projector which shifted to reveal a white ship. The ship has two outer wings extending above and below the body of the ship. In the center, a third wing extends below the body and a smaller stabilizer fin protrudes from the top. On the outermost parts of the primary wings, a set of heavy ion cannons are placed. the cockpit extends from the central body. In all, the ship appears unassuming, yet sleek and agile. " If all seems in order, it would be best to leave now. We've been monitoring Sith patrols and there will be an opening a day from now when you'll arrive." His gaze once again passed through each member of the party attempting to decipher their mood and thoughts. He clasped his hands in from of him, waiting for a response. OOC: Please note that a representative picture of the Citadel Cruiser can be found either on Wookiepedia or within the Starships of the Galaxy book located in the dropbox
